#TeamMemberTuesday: Bruce Auth
This month, we profile Butler Subaru Sales Consultant, Bruce Auth. He’s with us nearly three years now. Let’s see if there’s anything we’ve missed in all that time:
- My first job: Bus boy at North Park Sportsman’s Club
- Three things that you’ll always find in my refrigerator: (1) horseradish sauce, (2) fruit, and (3) water
- My favorite movie: This is a tough one – so many good ones. Probably Animal House. Why? John Belushi…. Need I say more?
- My favorite book: I’m a self-help kind of person. The End of Dieting by Joel Fuhrman. It has changed my life.

- My favorite inspirational quote: “Life is 10% what happens to you, and 90% how you react to it. The remarkable thing is that we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.” —Charles Swindoll
- If the story of my life was made into a movie, the actor or actress who would portray the part of me would be: Bruce Willis … but, he would need a white wig
- The most famous person that I’ve ever met was: Warren Buffett, many times. His office is on the 14th floor of Kiewit Plaza in Omaha. I worked on the 7th floor.
- When I was growing up my friends called me: Brew
- My favorite business for exceptional customer service: Starbucks … They are supposedly going to hire another 240,000 people over the next ten years. Are they doing that by just selling coffee? I think not.
- My dream vacation: I have never been abroad. So, a vacation to Eurpoe would be high on my list.
- Favorite restaurant: Too many good ones to choose only one.
- Favorite Home-cooked meal: Lasagna
- Favorite Entertainer: Jeff Dunham (American ventriloquist and stand-up comedian) …. with Walter and Achmed (both puppets)!
- Dream car: Bugatti
- Secret vice: I get together with people from Butler Subaru, and we work out in my basement. I play guitar.
- You’d be surprised to learn the following interesting fact about me: I owned a Harley Davidson dealership
- Top three things on my “bucket list”: (1) visit Alaska, (2) visit the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and (3) see the Aurora Borealis
- If I could have dinner with any famous person, living or dead, I would choose to have dinner with: Stevie Ray Vaughan …. Love his guitar-playing style. He was so talented!
- The farthest destination from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania that I’ve ever been to on this Earth was: Hawaii
- Two things in life that I could really do without: (1) cell phones … I think they cause many issues … no I’m not giving up my iPhone! (2) most politicians … they should have to play by the same rules as we do, and be held accountable.
- Favorite coach ever, and why: Another tough one. Probably Tom Osborne, former head football coach of the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He was not only a great coach, but a great family person and humble as well.
- My favorite iPhone app: Swing x Swing … golf distance app.
Many thanks to Bruce. Wondering who we’ll profile next time? You will just have to stay tuned to see!
