So, you aspire to become an Automotive Service Technician. We hope you’ll consider the #1 Cochran Service TECHcellence program. Through partnerships with local trade schools, #1 Cochran offers one of the finest automotive apprentice training programs in the industry. Six months after entering the program, you and your fellow Service TECHcellence grads will be ready for prime time. And, you’ll be compensated while you’re learning.

While working daily alongside a mentor- who happens to also be a Certified Master Technician – you’ll learn the key skills necessary to succeed as a Service Technician.

JOURNEYMAN PHASE

In this initial three-month stage, students learn the following critical skills:

  • PA State Inspection Regulations
  • Vehicle Checksheets
  • Repair Order Documentation
  • Work Culture and Safety
  • Flat-rate Systems and Efficiencies

ADVANCED PHASE

During months four through six, students participate in advanced skill building, including:

  • Use of Special Tools and Scan Tools
  • Warranty Processes and Procedures
  • Vehicle Programming
  • Customer Satisfaction
  • Multi-point Inspections

Graduation

Upon graduation from the Service TECHcellence program, you will be placed as a front-line Service Tech in one of our busy dealerships. All graduates who demonstrate proficiency throughout the program are guaranteed a position and reasonable pay rate.
