#TeamMemberTuesday: Andrew Ryder

Andrew is coming up on one year as a Service Advisor at North Hills Infiniti. Let’s get to know him a little better:

  • My first job: Rolling burritos at Moe’s. Shout out to Mike Walker (Monroeville C1 Sales Manager) who I worked with there.
  • Three things that you’ll always find in my refrigerator: (1) beer, (2) American cheese, and (3) Hidden Valley Ranch
  • My favorite movie: Wolf of Wall Street was a good one. I’m not much of a movie guy
  • My favorite inspirational quote:  “Attitude reflects leadership, Captain.” — Julius (Remember the Titans)
  • If the story of my life was made into a movie, the actor or actress who would portray the part of me would be:  Jason Segal
  • The most famous person that I’ve ever met was: Carl Hagelin (Penguins) … here at work; he came in to get his Audi inspected
  • When I was growing up my friends called me: Richard (Simmons) or George (Washington). Let me explain … I had long, curly hair that I wore in a ponytail. When I wasn’t rocking the ponytail, it looked like an Afro or a powder wig (apparently)
  • My favorite business for exceptional customer service:  I once resolved an issue I was having with my phone at 2 a.m. by Facebook messaging Verizon Wireless. I thought that was some pretty great customer service.
  • My dream vacation:  No specific destination comes to mind, but I love seeing new cities. I haven’t seen San Jose or Los Angeles yet.
  • Favorite restaurant: Gotta go with Fatheads. Awesome beer and giant sandwiches, one of which happens to be named after one of my regular customers.
  • Favorite Home-cooked meal:  Mama Ryder’s shepherd’s pie
  • Favorite Entertainer: I laugh-cry at least once every time I watch or listen to something Bill Burr makes.
  • Dream car: Acura NSX
  • Secret vice: Every few months I slip into a Red Bull binge
  • You’d be surprised to learn the following interesting fact about me: Most people are surprised to find out I am heavily tattooed because they’re always covered at work
  • Top three things on my “bucket list”: (1) go snowboarding at a resort out west, (2) watch the Penguins hoist the Stanley Cup in person (and sob uncontrollably while doing so) and (3) become a good enough golfer that I consistently break 80
  • If I could have dinner with any famous person, living or dead, I would choose to have dinner with: I’d like to hear Mario Lemieux’s story in first person
  • The farthest destination from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania that I’ve ever been to on this Earth was: San Diego
  • Three things in life that I could really do without: (1) seafood, (2) tire pressure monitors and (3) soda
  • Favorite coach ever, and why: “Badger” Bob Johnson. His enthusiasm and love for the game of hockey made a huge impact on Pittsburgh and its transformation into a hockey town. He brought them the first cup and his passing motivated the team to win in it again in his memory the following year.
  • My favorite iPhone app: I don’t know about a favorite, but the two most used apps on my phone are Craigslist and the NHL app

Big thanks to Andrew!
