#1 Cochran Promotion Raises $66,000 for Local Restaurants

#1 Cochran worked to raise more than $66,000 in March during its “Showroom To Table Event.” The promotion was designed to help support local restaurants amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

When a customer bought or leased a vehicle from any #1 Cochran dealership during the promotion, they received a $50 gift certificate to one of 32 Pittsburgh eateries.

Rob Cochran, President and CEO of #1 Cochran, explained, “The restaurant industry is extremely important to our communities, and we wanted to create a way that would get Pittsburghers spending money at their favorite local establishments again.”

#1 Cochran is also a locally-owned, family business. Collectively, their new and preowned stores from around the region bought a total of $66,700 worth of gift cards from the participating restaurants. The money was raised over a 2 ½ week period.

“When our neighbors needed help, especially those businesses that have been hit hardest by the pandemic, Pittsburghers were ready and willing to step up and do something about it,” said Mr. Cochran. “It just goes to show that when we work together, we can get through challenging times. #1 Cochran is truly proud to be a part of the community and we look forward to doing more events like “Showroom to Table” in the future.”
