Let’s Bring Breast Cancer to A Screeching Halt
As part of our Put the Brakes on Breast Cancer initiative, both our Volkswagen stores will donate $25 for every new vehicle sold during the month of October to the PA Breast Cancer Coalition. In 2022 and 2023, company and team member donations across all our stores have raised $28,180.
Our Efforts Don’t Stop There
The entire #1 Cochran team is pitching in to pursue a cure. Here’s some of the ways we’re contributing:
- Each store is donating $1 for every customer oil change, up to $5000 total.
- Team members will give $20 to wear jeans each Friday and Saturday in October.
- All proceeds from our Trunk or Treat Event at the Washington PreOwned Marketplace will benefit A Glimmer of Hope Foundation.
The total amount raised from these company initiatives will be split among the following organizations:

Hair Peace Charities provides financial assistance to women in western Pennsylvania who require a wig due to cancer. The organization also offers informational services, encouragement and faith resources through its support groups.

A Glimmer of Hope Foundation funds special programs, treatments and research studies to help find a cure for breast cancer. The foundation has established The Glimmer of Hope Metastatic Breast Cancer Center through Allegheny Health Network which is dedicated to treating metastatic breast cancer, the most advanced stage of breast cancer.

Since its founding in 1993, the PA Breast Cancer Coalition has driven efforts to enact critical legislation, sent out thousands of Friends Like Me care packages for breast cancer patients and helped the uninsured and underinsured receive free mammograms
