Putting the Brakes on Breast Cancer
Since 2021, #1 Cochran has raised nearly $40,000 for breast cancer research and patient care through company and team member donations. See how we’re rallying together this year to bring cancer to a full stop.
- Companywide, we will donate $1 for every oil change performed to local cancer organizations, up to $5000 total.
- Each of our two Volkswagen locations will also donate $25 for every new vehicle sold in October to the PA Breast Cancer Coalition.
- Our Butler County stores are partnering with Independence Health for its Drive to Schedule Mammograms initiative, encouraging customers to get their annual screening.
- Team members will give $20 to wear jeans each Friday and Saturday in October

Hair Peace Charities provides financial assistance to women in western Pennsylvania who require a wig due to cancer. The organization also offers informational services, encouragement and faith resources through its support groups.

A Glimmer of Hope Foundation funds special programs, treatments and research studies to help find a cure for breast cancer. The foundation has established The Glimmer of Hope Metastatic Breast Cancer Center through Allegheny Health Network which is dedicated to treating metastatic breast cancer, the most advanced stage of breast cancer.

Since its founding in 1993, the PA Breast Cancer Coalition has driven efforts to enact critical legislation, sent out thousands of Friends Like Me care packages for breast cancer patients and helped the uninsured and underinsured receive free mammograms
